A ring, a half carrot and a potato. Some everyday objects I painted today for practice. I’m trying to get better at seeing values, doing a lot of gray-scale first and then adding color on top of that. Using a lot of masks and simple steps to define some kind of pipeline I could use to make sure the quality of my stuff goes up. Sometimes I just start at the wrong end and the end result is messed up. It’s like going to the gym and beginning with the heavy lifting without a warm-up (stupid that is). These paintings also help me see how to render something to a more final like stage. Enjoy!
